In the upper jaw, missing teeth can lead to a lowering of the maxillary sinuses, which are behind your cheeks and on top of the upper teeth. In the past this problem led to no choice but to wear dentures, but now we can perform sinus lifts and grafts, which very comfortably and predictably bring the sinuses and upper jaw to a healthful condition in order to receive dental implants.
